I found this to be an interestingly deep stranger mission that puts the outcome in the inquisitive players hands. You can reject, or take the original payout and miss all of this conclusion if you don't follow it through. Perseverance to the chain however leads to a surprisingly deep amount of player choice for something that is at its core a basic random encounter.
